Igui Piscinas Sorriso
born of dreams and entrepreneurship
Sorriso is a city that keeps motivating stories, of people who arrived in the municipality with many dreams and desire to grow. Itamar de Lima is an example of this commitment. Born in Loanda, Paraná, married to Rosineide Lima, father of two: Tayenne, 30 years old and Matheus, 27 years old, his trajectory is marked by struggles and overcomings.
MOTIVATION
His professional history began very early, when he was still a child with his mother, he helped with the income of the house with the resale of vegetables, by bicycle he went from door to door, in the city of Marilena in Paraná. Entrepreneurship began to sharpen at this time. At 17, when he took a tailoring course, his interest solidified. When he finished the training, he started his first company, a t-shirt knitting company, Itamar says that with his wife Rosi by his side and five other seamstresses, he provided services to a single clothing company.
In the last month of knitting, they produced just over 20,000 pieces, when they arrived at the company that provided the service, it was closed. Itamar had a big loss, the cash reserve he still had, he used to pay his team and close the activity of that company that only lasted a year. Of the seven machines that Itamar had, he sold six and kept one with a straight seam, it was there that he broadened his vision, making him see the tapestry business, which was a good opportunity. To the difficulties added to the experience, it was the motivation he needed to set up his new company; a sofa factory that produced both automotive and residential or commercial upholstery.
NEW BEGINNING
In this way, 2010 marks a new moment in its history. It was the year he visited Mato Grosso and found a new life and business opportunity in the state. Along with him, came his wife and children, in addition to the tapestry, which was implanted in Sorriso. A new life began, especially for the children, who became adults in the local lands, and here, they also started new families and traced their academic trajectory. From their father, they inherited a taste for knowledge and entrepreneurship.
FAMILY
Tayenne, the eldest daughter, has a degree in electrical engineering, and is currently doing her PhD at UNESP, and is completing her exchange program at ISEP, in the city of Porto in Portugal. Matheus, also has a degree in electrical engineering, married to dentist Nicolly Aguiar. Upon graduation, Matheus started working at the renowned Delta Service Construções Elétricas, a company based in Sinop, where he stayed for three years. With great determination and committed to his profession, he also taught at the Unemat Sinop College, where he taught for two years.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Inspired by his father, Matheus always had in mind the desire to undertake and for that reason, he defined as his purpose the acquisition of a kind of franchise. Always very technical, he carried out extensive research work in order to identify the best business alternatives for investment.
OPPORTUNITY
The father once again collaborates with his development. During an event in 2017, Itamar worked in the administrative sector at the church where he congregates in Sorriso, he met a friend Marquinhos who worked in the administrative department of the Igui group. When he learned that his friend's son was thinking of starting a business, he suggested that he knows a better company. Contacted brand owner Mr. Toninho and director of the Cuiabá plant Mr. Paulo, who, when analyzing the profile of the family and Matheus, invited them to assume the representation of Igui Piscinas Sorriso. In January 2018, Matheus Lima became CEO of the company and finally found what he was looking for: an opportunity.
SUCCESS
When starting work as a franchisee, the results could only be the best! Matheus always thanks God for the opportunity and success of the company. The service and sales of swimming pools by its team, since it took over the store, exceeds the mark of more than 700 swimming pools already installed. Another leap was taken by the entrepreneur in 2020, the sales activities of Splash Sorriso begin, in 2021 the opening of the physical store and in 2022 of the Igui Tratabem units, in the cities of Ipiranga and Vera / MT.
SATISFACTION
Proud of his children's performance, Itamar Lima now works with Matheus, leading the team's management. Wife Rosi is in the commercial area; pre-sales, sales and after-sales. Like her husband and children, she has a vocation for business and is a natural saleswoman. She also emphasizes the particularities of the Igui Group, which today has more than 1,200 franchises, more than 40 industrial parks divided into more than 50 countries on five continents.
“Our differential is focused on technology, associated with ecology and sustainability, ensuring greater water quality and the durability of a pool. This process takes place both in traditional and ceramic models, with a diversified range of products where we offer the best value for money and quality.”
