The importance of the work of the Civil Police in the fight against crime
The Civil Judicial Police (PJC) of Sorriso has made significant progress towards the continuity of the work that promotes the fight and prevention of crime through criminal investigation.
According to the head delegate of the PJC de Sorriso, José Getúlio Daniel, among the elements that contribute to this result are the investment in technology systems that will allow the civil police to carry out investigation procedures through electronic means; the opening of a public tender for hiring new researchers and clerks; and the construction of the new police station, which, once completed, will house ordinary and specialized police investigation services. “The new structure will provide quality service to the citizen, as well as a decent work place for the servers”, says the delegate.
Faced with the challenges of ensuring safety for citizens, the delegate highlights the routine work and integrated with other operational institutions, such as the Military Police, Fire Department, Politec, Federal Highway Police, Municipal Guard and Ciopaer. “The managers of the bodies responsible for public security work with the objective of presenting an efficient security service to the population, since they are required to respond quickly to demands”, explains Dr. Getúlio, highlighting the importance of working together with the Judiciary and the Public Ministry, which results in important precautionary measures that reflect in the rapid police response and, consequently, in the efficiency of investigations.
In a statistical analysis, the delegate points to a significant decrease in crimes committed with violence or serious threat, especially robbery (which includes robbery) and homicide. “Our main combat focus today is criminal organizations, which entice children and adolescents to carry out drug trafficking, an attitude that has been vehemently opposed by the institution”, he concludes.
