Sorriso is a city that grows above the national average and represents the 3rd economy of the State of Mato Grosso. Commerce is an important segment of the economy of a municipality, as it generates employment and income for the population.

The Chamber of Shopkeepers (CDL) works to strengthen the trade in Sorriso. There are more than 1,500 associates and projects that impact the lives and daily lives of shopkeepers, employees and associates. For over 20 years, the entity has actively participated in the decisions, history and development of Sorriso.

The president of CDL Sorriso (2021/2024 administration), Jeferson Volnei Portella Silveira, highlights the actions developed by the entity in the Municipality, such as the Conduz Project (which provides cultural training and well-being for children and adolescents, with free guitar lessons, cajon, ukulele and yoga); the Best Companies to Work for in Sorriso award (rewarding and encouraging good management practices in companies in the city); the workshops and lectures; the games of commerce; credit recovery practices and settlement fairs.
