Rotaract Club remains steadfast in its purpose of serving to transform lives
Like our city, this year the Rotaract Club of Sorriso also celebrates 36 years of history. The service club, which is a partner of Rotary International, encompasses a network of young people whose main objective is to share ideas and projects to face the challenges of humanity in a new way.
The result of a partnership between the State Government and the Municipality of Sorriso, the implementation of the Company came to meet the demand of the Municipality, which until then was attended by the 4th Military Fire Battalion of Sinop.
The unit's commander, Captain BM Eraldo Moura, recalls the numerous improvements achieved during these years that contributed to the work being promoted with quality, such as the acquisition of operational vehicles, personal protective equipment, renovations to the facilities and the development of social projects. , such as Firefighters of the Future.
Captain Moura also highlights the project for the new headquarters, which will be built next to the Company. The State Government will allocate R$ 4 million, and the Municipality, via Funrebom, should contribute around R$ 1 million, for the execution of the new barracks, budgeted at 5 million. At the beginning of February, the Company received a new fire-fighting vehicle offered by the State.
“The commitment of the municipal government and organized civil society helped, above all, for the development of the corporation. The task of providing first aid care is not an easy one, but helping others is what motivates and makes the work we do gratifying. And, for 17 years, our mission has been renewed daily”, emphasizes the commander.
