Opened in February 2022, the Hospital de Olhos de Sorriso, a pioneer in its sector in the interior of Mato Grosso, had its seed planted 7 years ago, when ophthalmologists Bernardo Martins and Sávio Milbratz moved to Sorriso and founded Focus Oftalmologia Advanced.

The Eye Hospital offers various eye treatments and surgeries. And it uses advanced technology to perform tests such as refraction (examination of glasses), tonometry (measurement of eye pressure), funduscopy, retinal mapping, gonioscopy, pachymetry, daily curve of eye pressure, ultrasonic biometry, specular microscopy of the cornea, dry eye, retinography, interferometry biometry, fluorescein angiography, corneal topography, visual field, optical coherence tomography, pentacon (corneal tomography), in addition to surgeries.

The staff of specialist doctors at Hospital de Olhos is another great differential. The professionals have specialization in ophthalmology and experience in performing exams and surgeries.

The Doctor. Sávio Milbratz has a degree in medicine from the Federal University of Espírito Santo - UFES, with a medical residency in ophthalmology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG. Specialist in cornea, keratoconus, glaucoma, cataract, contact lenses and refractive surgery. 

The Doctor. Bernardo Martins holds a degree in medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – UFMG, with a medical residency also from UFMG. Specialist in retina, cataract, glaucoma and contact lenses.

Part of the team of professionals are Dr. Yan Haddad, a glaucoma specialist, has a degree in medicine from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, with a medical residency at Santa Casa de Belo Horizonte, and Dr. Thiago de Castro, specialist in strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology with a degree from the Federal University of Goiás and training at the Reference Center for Ophthalmology – CEROF.
