At the age of 28, Jessica has been able to keep up with the exponential growth of the city, which has always had characteristics of progress.

He finished high school at the age of 17, and soon afterwards he entered college in Sinop, because at that time there was still no psychology in the unit he chose.  

Despite exhausting travel after working all day and going to Sinop right away to study, strength and determination made her stay and fight to achieve her dreams.

Five years abdicating leisure, weekends and friends, donating only to studies until graduation.

“It was a very emotional moment. When I looked back I could see how much it was all worth it. ”

 

With all these achievements, another important stage in her life also came, her marriage to Thomas Felipe in 2017. Another dream she and her husband always had was to build a family, but to the couple's surprise in January 2020 they discovered that their husband Thomas was infertile with only a 2% chance of becoming a father. The doctor recommended surgery, but he wasn't sure it would really solve the situation.

Jessica and Thomas are Christians and with a lot of faith they believed that God would give a child without Thomas having to have the surgery. And in May 2021, his son José Carlos came into the world healthy and received with much love from his parents, a true miracle. 

Jéssica Fernanda Moura de Souza graduated from the University of Cuiabá-UNIC, specializing in psychological assessment and is currently attending her second postgraduate degree in cognitive behavioral therapy, working in several areas of human behavior, treatment and prevention of mental illnesses. of adolescents and children. 

Considered an excellent professional, she is also one of the most requested to serve children, so much so that in her office she has a corner all planned in a playful format, dedicated to making the little ones feel more comfortable.

When asking what motivates her on a daily basis, she is inspired by a phrase from one of the greatest scholars in psychology. 

“To be empathetic is to see the world through someone else's eyes and not see our world reflected in their eyes” (Carl Rogers) 

She believes that there is no point in not having an open heart to meet and understand people.

Full of plans, the psychologist intends to always seek more knowledge.
