KING'S Feast

The King's Party, an event held by the Igreja Batista Nacional de Sorriso, had its first edition in 2012, and emerged from a dream. Pastor José Netto, president of the Church, was on a mission trip to Africa in 2011. He had a short dream, in which he saw a big colorful tent and inside, thousands of people from different nations. There were then two women at the tent door, and he asked them, “What is happening there?” And one of them replied: “Don't you know? It's the King's Feast!” Then he woke up and understood that the party did not have a missionary character, but that each nation, in its own way and culture, worships the King in a unique way, and that is what will happen! The main purpose of the King's Feast is to worship God, exalt and glorify His name, offering their talents, time, energy, for approximately 4 months, so that in two days of presentation, they can say to God: Thank you, thank you for allow us to be in his presence, for saving us, rescuing us from everything we lived and today living in sublime and abundant peace. Over the years the party has taken on a large proportion, evolving and taking place in different formats. This year the edition was held on October 26th and 27th and there were more than 1,300 people attending the Festival, whose theme was “It's Time for Revival”. 10 chapters were separated and each chapter worked on a type of Revival, as well as its meaning. It was possible to see and learn about Revival in Character, Revival in the Family, Revival in the City, in the church, in evangelism, in service, among others. The challenge of the nearly 300 people involved was to show, through theater and dance, what each of these themes represented, and how they could live according to what God expects of us within the spheres of society. As a practice adopted a few years ago, the Festa do Rei already ends with next year's theme, with the aim of encouraging spectators and participants to be present at the next edition and this year was no different. At the end of the Party, a video was released with the theme of the year 2020: “Wide your tent! ”. We are already curious and looking forward to all the news and emotions for the next King's Party!
